  #2Entry
Dori Cooper
Bristol, United Kingdom
Using
Dream in Color - Smooshy

Hi there! I heard about your contest closing Dec 28 through Sandra Singh, where I bought the Yarns on Stage yarn Dream in Color Smooshy.

I've made a Citron (from Ravelry) shawlette from the Bubble Haze color, and would like to enter it in the contest. Please find the picture attached.

I live in the UK, although I'm American by birth, and I learned to knit here. I've not heard of the companies involved in the Yarns on Stage, and this was a great way to be introduced to them. Kudos to everyone involved.

Entry #6

Trudy Moss
Santa Rosa, CA
( Yarn is Great Adirondack Silky Sock, color Parakeet)

I purchased some of your yarn during the Yarns on stage event at Cast Away  in Santa Rosa.  I fell in love with the colors and just had to buy some.  I wasn’t sure exactly what I would make with it but I knew I wanted to showcase the yarn itself so here is what I came up with.  I took the finished piece into show Justine as we had been discussing how the colors would knit up, she told me about your contest and told me I should enter so  I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed knitting it.

I am now looking forward to my next skein.

Thank you

Trudy Moss

Claudia Hand Painted yarn

I made this pair of socks out of the Claudia Hand Painted Fingering in Zebra.  My 20 month old daughter picked out this yarn at Grandma's Spinning Wheel.  She kept hugging the skein and rubbing it against her cheek.  The yarn love starts at a young age.  I made her a pair of Cloverleaf socks for Christmas, though she might get them before that date as she still like rubbing the one against her cheek and saying "Soft".  I've put all my details up on Ravelry.

Entry #8

Susan Mansur

Attached are photos of my Bubble Haze Sunrise Scarf, made with Dream In Color Bubble Haze using Mary Lillian's Lily's Scarf pattern.

The colorway looks exactly like the morning sunrise on an overcast day in New England.  The scarf pattern is reminiscent of both bubbles and the sun and seemed to fit the colorway perfectly.  I love both and hope you do as well.

Entry #9

Sara Dyer
Tucson AZ,

Her 2nd Entry to the contest

This is a pair of socks I knitted in Cherry Tree Hill.  My little girl picked this color out for me from Grandma's Spinning Wheel.  I think she wanted us to have similar colors from the Yarns on Stage collection, but she didn't want us to be twins.  The pattern is called Diversion and can be found on Knitty.

Heres a photo of the baby kimono I knotted using the Great Adirondack YOS yarn

I'm the mother/co-owner of "Knitting Off Broadway", 1309 Broadway, Fort Wayne, IN, and knitted the kimono as a store sample at the direction of my bossy, marketing-minded (co-owner) daughter, Natalie.

The funniest part of this endeavor is that Natalie often heard "Is this a craft?" when she was growing up knowing that her mother (me) didn't "do" crafts being too busy in her law practice and a wife/mother to sit down and engage in anything relaxing!

The yarns were purchased at guess where? Yes; Knitting Off Broadway in Fort Wayne, IN.

Entry # 13
Ashley Fouch

I knit my Ishbel using ShiBui Knits Sock yarn in the Dahlia colorway. This was my first time using ShiBui yarn, my first shawl and my first time entering my knitting in a contest. I'm hoping since the deadline was extended that I can knit a few more projects to enter before February.

The PRISM 5804 Circle Shawl was an incredible project. I loved every moment of it. The new skill I learned from this pattern was to knit with beads by placing the beads onto the thread via a crochet hook rather than by pre-stringing the beads. It was a lot of fun. I purchased this beautiful Prism Circle Shawl from the Sweet PEA's Yarn & Gifts in Saint Clair, MI which is a fun shop.

To: Yarns on Stage

I used The Great Adirondack Yarn Company, Inc. Silky Sock Yarn in Parakeet and the Churchmouse Classics Ruffle scarf pattern to make this project. Silk ribbons in complimentary colors were woven through the length of the scarf as an accent to the beautiful colors of the yarn. This scarf was designed to wear with my jeans jacket.  The yarn, pattern and ribbons were purchased at Knitting Off Broadway in Fort Wayne, Indiana during the Yarns on Stage promotion.

I loved
the variegated nature of this yarn, Dahlia by Shibui Knits, and thought it would be perfect for Cookie A's Wedge pattern.  For more pictures and information, see my ravelry project page.
